How to restore meta descriptions on Shopify after an app changed them

Step by step

Stop the app that changed them first — pause or uninstall it, or it will overwrite your fix on its next run.
If you have a CSV export from before the change (Matrixify or similar), re-import only the meta description column.
If you don't, you need a from-before snapshot. Going forward, keep a daily snapshot of every SEO field so a one-click restore is possible.
Re-submit the affected URLs in Google Search Console so the correct meta is re-crawled.
